Edward F. "Eddie" Benz 79 of Media, formerly of Aston, died on December 6, 2022.

Born in Philadelphia, he lived in Aston for over 40 years before moving to Media five years ago.

Eddie was a driver/salesman for Tasty Baking Company (Tastykake) for 40 years until his retirement in 2003. He then was a bus driver for Penn Delco School District for 10 years.

He was a member of The Church of St. Joseph and served in the US Army Reserve from 1965 until 1971.

Eddie enjoyed fishing, collecting classic Corvettes, boating, model trains and spending time in Sea Isle, NJ.

He was son of the late Dr. Charles J. and Marie E. Leahy Benz, father of the late Timothy Charles Benz, who died in 1996 and brother of the late Charles J. Benz.

Eddie is survived by his wife of 56 years, Arlene L. Quinn Benz; sons Edward W. Benz and Steven C. Benz (Lynn); also his grandsons Jake, Alex and Nathan.

Funeral Mass 10:00AM Thursday, December 15, 2022 at The Church of St. Joseph, 3255 Concord Road, Aston, PA 19014 where friends may call after 9:00AM.

Burial private.
