Earl J. Buffington 92 of Ridley Park, died May 14, 2017 at his home.
Born in Chester, he lived in Garden City before moving to his late residence 63 years ago.
Earl was a machinist at Sun Oil Company for 33 years, retiring in 1983. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during WWII.
He was a member of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, the Ridley Park Seniors, and the Sapphire Club at Sun Oil. Earl enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and dancing.

He was the son of the late Frank B. and Helen C. Earle Buffington and brother of the late Rose Ralston and Hugh J. and Frank J. Buffington.
Earl was the loving husband of Joan E. O'Brien Buffington, his wife of 68 years, who survives. He is also survived by his daughters, Joan C. Buffington and Nancy E. Snyder (Richard); his siblings. Paul J. Buffington, Margaret Allen and Helen Stant (Robert); also 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass 10:00AM Thursday, May 18, 2017 at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone.
Visitation 8:15 to 9:15 AM at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park. Burial SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
