Obituary

Dorothy E. Stetler McIntyre, 88, of Claymont, DE, died September 20, 2011 at Neighborhood Hospice, West Chester.

Born in Philadelphia, she lived in the city until moving to her later residence 25 years ago.

She was a receptionist at Drexel University Health Center for 15 years, retiring in 1986.

Mrs. McIntyre was a former deacon at the Woodland Avenue Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia. She was an avid reader who enjoyed cooking and loved working on her computer.

She was the wife of the late John J. McIntyre, who died in 1964 and daughter of the late Warren and Ruth Sparling Stetler, and sister of the late Warren Stetler, Marjorie Forbes and Robert Stetler.

She is survived by her children: Dorothy R. Sheridan (Amos Amira), Richard G. McIntyre (Sharon) and Wayne D. McIntyre (Eileen), her sister Mildren Poiesz, also eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Memorial Service: 7PM Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Mount Hope United Methodist Church, 4020 Concord Rd., Aston where friends may call after 6:30PM. Burial private.
