Dorothy G. Vickers McArdle, 99, of Woodlyn died November 11, 2016 at her home. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late George William and Ida Beryle Beltz Vickers and resided in Prospect Park before moving to her late residence in 1972.
Dorothy was a graduate of Kensington High School. She loved animals, nature, flowers and the beach. Dorothy enjoyed music and singing and was always smiling. She was generous with her family and friends, but most important was her love and devotion to her family.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Edward F. "Funny Pop-Pop" McArdle, who died August 18, 2007.
Survivors: mother of Lorraine Clark, Dorothy Baratta (Joseph) and Robert E. McArdle (Kitty); also, 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren. A special thanks goes to her great grandson, Nicky, who has provided her care for the past nine years.
