Obituary

Dorothy A. Marchetti, 84, the family focal point for food, fun, and love died at home on Saturday July 19, 2014.

Until most days of recent, she was always busy taking care of her much loved family, cooking up a storm, or out buying gifts without occasion for others.

You always felt welcome when you visited with her and always felt full when you left, no matter what time of day or night. If you knew Dot, then you knew that love could be served on a plate.

She was a great friend to all, eternally kind, selfless, generous and understanding. She loved her family dearly and brightened the lives of so many.

She had a love of life. Hers was just a little life. She wasn't famous and built no monuments. She didn't make history but she touched hundreds of lives. Her family is her monument. Her friendships are her legacy.

Dorothy was daughter of the late Walter and Kathryn Howley Knight and sister of the late Marie Waltz, Rita Bulatewicz and Theresa Bucella.
