Dorothy M. Gumpper Evans, 92 of Broomall, formerly of Ridley Park died November 18, 2010 at the Broomall Presbyterian Village.
Born in Philadelphia, she was daughter of the late George and Emma Quinn Gumpper. She lived in RIdley Park for fifty years before moving to Rosemont for five years and then Broomall in 2009.
Mrs. Evans was a bookkeeper for Zabel Brothers in Philadelphia, retiring in 1968.
She was a member of the Ridley Park Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the Women'a Circle, was Sunshine Girl at the Young At Heart Seniors, and a volunteer at the Ridley Park Boys Club.
Mrs. Evans was wife of the late Norman Charles Evans, who died in 1982, grandmother of the late Jeffrey S. St. Germain who died November 29, 2008 and sister of the late Florence Wells, George Gumpper and Harry Gumpper.
Survivors: Children; Carol A. Rooney of Warwick, PA, Patricia M. Emmons of Chadds Ford, PA, Susan Gessig of Ridley Park, PA and Norman T. Evans of Midlothian, VA., ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service 10:30AM Monday, November 22, 2010 at the Ridley Park Presbyterian Church, 300 N. Swarhmore Ave., Ridley Park, PA where friends may call from 9:30 to 10:15AM. Burial Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Taylor Hospice, P.O. Box 147, Ridley Park, PA 19078.
