Dorothy M. Rhoades Cooper, 86, of Ridley Park, died February 11, 2013 at Crozer Keystone Hospice at Taylor surrounded by her loving family. Born in Mount Carmel, PA, Mrs. Cooper was a longtime resident of Delaware County.
Dorothy was last employed as a clerk at RCA in Collingdale. She was a member of The Church of St. Madeline, the Notre Dame Golden Age Club and the School House Seniors. She enjoyed crafts, knitting, crocheting and playing bingo, but most important was her love and devotion to her family.
She was wife of the late Elmer John Cooper who died June 20, 2001 after 56 years of marriage.
Survivors: her children; Patricia Saxman (Bruce), Kathleen Tyson (late George) and Connie Nangle (Jerry), her brothers Jerry and Robert Rhoades, her sister Rosemarie Gossett. Also seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass: 10 AM Thursday at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone, PA 19022
Visitation: 9 to 9:45 AM Thursday at the church
Burial: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery
