Obituary
Dorothy S. Calhoun 103, of Glen Riddle, died on May 13, 2021 at Kentmere Nursing Home.
Born in Drexel Hill, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Danver and Jeanette Albany Simpson.
Dorothy was secretary to Col. William Cottee at Widener University and was a graduate of Chester High School, class of 1935. She was an avid Phillies fan and enjoyed traveling and walking. Her favorite places to visit were St. Thomas USVI and Ocean City, NJ.
She was a member of St. Paul's P.E. Church and the Rocky Run YMCA and formerly was a volunteer for the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts.
Dorothy was the loving wife of the late William M. Calhoun, her husband of more than 60 years, who died in 2006 and sister of the late Mary Innes.
She is survived by her children, William M. Calhoun, Jr. (Melody), Jeanette Sinclair (Doug) and Kathryn Margetich (Gus); grandchildren, Christine (James), Matthew (Robyn) and Alex, Jennifer, Megan, Erin; as well as her great grandchildren.
Funeral Service 10:30AM Thursday May 20, 2021 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Rd., Aston where friends may call after 9:30AM. Burial Lawn Croft Cemetery.
