Doris A. Taraba, 72, formerly of Ridley Park died on August 2, 2023.  Born in Drexel Hill, the daughter of the late Ladislav and Margaret Skubak Taraba, she lived in Clifton Heights before moving to Ridley Park in 2014.

Doris was a graduate of Darby High School, class of 1969 and the Lankenau Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1971.  She had been employed as an LPN at Haverford Hospitals and Project share before retiring in 2004.  Doris was a member of Mercy Life Seniors and The Church of St. Madeline, and she was a former member of BVM and St. Eugene Catholic Churches.  She enjoyed traveling, music, gardening and reading but family was most important to Doris.

She was sister of Margaret "Peggy" Dillon, Emily Mary Santoro, Lawrence "Larry" Taraba and the late John and Janet Marie Taraba, she is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a loving companion Ron Maris. In appreciation of the kindly care that Doris received from the staff at Fair Acres and the hospice team, we extend our heartfelt thoughts of gratitude.

Funeral Mass 10:30 AM Friday, August 11, 2023 at The Church of St. Madeline, 400 Morton Ave., Ridley Park where relatives and friends may call after 9:30.  Burial SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
