Obituary

Doris M. Fieger Reimann 91, formerly of Briarcliffe died peacefully in her sleep on May 19, 2014 at Prospect Park Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born and raised in South Philadelphia Doris lived in the Briarcliffe section of Glenolden for over 60 years. She was a "Rosie the Riveter" at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard from 1941 -1946 during WWII.

Doris was a very active member of the Church of the Redeemer in Springfield and the Briarcliffe Athletic Association. She loved tennis, playing Bridge, and swimming with "the Mermaids" but her greatest joy was time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She remained feisty, fun loving and quick witted; her positive outlook on life will be missed by all who knew her.

Doris was the wife of the late Otto F. Reimann, her husband of 50 years, who died in 1996 and daughter of the late George and Mary Stein Fieger.

Survivors: her sons Otto G. Reimann and Thomas J. Reimann (Mary Beth); grandchildren Greg, Ben, Jaime, Liesl and Andrew; her great grandchildren Alden and Alice; also her sister Elaine Barker and cousins Helen Hayes, Sr. & Helen Hayes Jr.

Funeral Service 7:00PM Friday, May 23, 2014 at the Church of the Redeemer, 145 W. Springfield Road, Springfield, PA where friends may call 6 to 6:45PM.

Burial 10:00AM Saturday at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
