Doris B. Cassidy Phillips, 79, of Eddystone passed away on April 12, 2016 after a courageous fight with cancer. Born in Boothwyn, she was daughter of the late Frederick E. and Pansy McGee Cassidy.
Doris was employed as a nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital and Crozer Chester Medical Center, where she retired. Doris was a lifetime member of Eddystone Fire Co as an E.M.T. and board member and was an American Red Cross Volunteer in the 1993 Floods in the Midwest. She was a former member of the "Hook & Hitch" Dance team. Doris enjoyed oil painting, needlework, genealogy, quilting, travel and keeping in touch with family far and wide. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors: wife of Thomas C. Phillips, her husband of 56 years; loving mother of Thomas F. Phillips (Mary); loving grandmother of Thomas J. and Megan L. Phillips; sister of Joan Phares (Bill), Lois Shannon (Late Skip) and Fred Cassidy; also survived by many wonderful nieces and nephews; two grand dogs, Bela and Anya; and her special cat, Cleo
