Doris H. "Dea" Merritt, 89, of Secane died March 3, 2021 at her home. Born and raised in Bridgeton, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Emma Thomas Merritt.
Dea was a graduate of Bridgeton High School, class of 1949, and was the owner/operator of Autumn Years Antiques in Mullica Hill, NJ, for 20 years before retiring in 2009. She previously was a Case Worker for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Dea enjoyed music, antiquing, gardening and flower arranging. She loved family reunions with her large extended family, but most important was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dea was predeceased by her son, William Angelozzi; and her siblings, Rene Maiorana, Thomas Merritt, Frank Merritt, Carol Heitzman and Tammy Hanrahan.
She is survived by her children, Arlene J. Burke (William Worrilow), Robert Angelozzi (Barbara Shepperson) and Michael Angelozzi (Gail); her siblings, Daniel Merritt, Midge Rodriguez and Joy Merritt; her daughter-in-law, Tina Angelozzi; also, nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and her longtime caregiver and friend Lista Shabani.
Graveside Service: 12:00 Noon Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Mount Hope Cemetery, 4020 Concord Road, Aston, PA 19014.
