Obituary

Doris M. Hutchinson Cassidy, 97, of Ridley Park a former Teacher at St. Mark Lutheran Pre-School, died on February 4, 2022.  Born in Chester, the daughter of the late James and Emma Grander Hutchinson, she lived in Eddystone before moving to Ridley Park 65 years ago.

Doris attended Chester High School and was a former member St. Mark Lutheran Church where she served on the Altar Guild.  She was also a member of St. Mark's Over 50 Club.  Doris was an avid walker and loved music, dancing, swimming and going to casinos, but most important was her family, especially her grand and great-grandchildren.

She was wife of the late William W. Cassidy who died on March 8, 2011 after 62 years of marriage, mother of Harry McElwee (Patty) and Judy Deaver (Bob), sister of the late Emma Cowan, grandmother of Kim Henkel (Harry), Jen Cammarota (George Schlipf), Danielle Deaver-Uzwiak (Brian) and Mark Deaver (Meghan), also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service 11 AM Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where relatives and friends may call after 10:30 AM.  (Masks are required) Burial Lawn Croft Cemetery.
