Donald B. Sykes 80 of Boothwyn, died August 21, 2015 at his home.

Born
in Chester, he lived in Lester before moving to his late residence 59
years ago.

He was a Crane Millwright at Reading Crane for five years,
retiring in 1996 and previously worked at Phoenix Steel for 32 years.
Don was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving as Sergeant during the
Korean War.

He loved Buttonwood Beach and his dog Bridgett. Don was a loving,
caring husband, father, grandfather and Pop-Pop.

Don was husband of the late Joan Cooper Sykes, his wife of 41 years,
who died in 1996, son of the late James H. and Elizabeth Hamilton
Sykes, brother of the late James H. and Robert Sykes, Jane Bryant and
Thelma Bleiler and grandfather of the late Heather Lynn Sykes.

He is survived by his children, Joan M. Pedrick (Gary), Donald B.
Sykes, Jr., (Dana), James R. Sykes (Deborah), Kimberly A. Ruckle (David)
and Rebecca L. Peticca (Anthony); his sisters, Alice Fisher and
Elizabeth Scardecchio; also 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Funeral Service 11:00AM Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at White-Luttrell
Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Rd., Aston where friends may call after
10:00AM. Burial Mt. Hope Cemetery.
