Donald P. Finnegan, 83 of Glen Mills, entered into eternal life on May 16, 2011 at Vitas Hospice at Mercy Fitzgerald.
Born in Philadelphia, he lived in Ridley Park for 41 years before moving to his late residence thirteen years ago.
He was employed in the financial department at Conrail for 42 years, retiring in 1990.
Mr. Finnegan is a member of St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church and was a former member of the Church of St. Madeline in RIdley Park. He was a U.S. Navy WWII veteran.
Mr. Finnegan was son of the late Frank and Helen Huss Finnegan and brother of the late Harry, Francis, John, Robert and Richard Finnegan and Heleln Wickersham.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marianne Pack Finnegan, daughters Marianne T. Leamy (Mark) and Maureen J. Koch (Ronald), both of Ridley Park and Donna M. Cocco (Andrew) of Wallingford. Pop Pop of Drew, Elizabeth, Alex, Eric and Victoria.
Funeral Mass 10:30AM Friday, May 20, 2011 at St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church, 430 Valleybrook Road, Chester Heights, PA 19017 where friends may call after 9:30AM. Burial SS. Peter and Paul Cemtery.
