Donald Dwayne Carl, 50 years old, of Ridley Park, Pennsylvania passed away at Taylor Hospital on November 9, 2016. Born in Altoona, PA on January 31st, 1966. He was the son of the late Gary G. Carl and Carol Gilday Smith, along with his late stepmother Doris Carl and living stepfather Archie Smith and his wife Edna.
Don was raised in Holidaysburg, Pennsylvania. He then graduated Holidaysburg High School, Class of 1984, continuing his education at Johnson and Wales Culinary School as well as Culinary Institute of Hyde Park New York. He then married his best friend, Angela Musselman Carl, on September 4th, 1994. Together they had five rippen kids and lived in various cities and states, where he was a Master Chef in multiple hotels and restaurants all along the East Coast. Don was a devoted member of New Destiny Christian Center. Over the years, he touched and influenced many lives with his passion for Jesus, food, and sarcasm.
He left behind his loving wife of twenty-two years, Angela Musselman Carl and his five children Skylar D. Carl and daughter-in-law Ashleigh R. Carl, Jessa D. Carl, Hahli M. Carl, Helena J. Carl, and Zander D. Carl. Along with his siblings Gary G. Carl Jr, Nancy Laferty, Kelly Smith, Mark Wance, Diane Stinson, and Debbie Free; also, many awesome nieces and nephews, friends and family.
Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Monday, November 14, 2016 at the New Destiny Christian Center, 219 Bullens Lane, Woodlyn, PA 19094, where friends may call after 9:30 AM
