Diane Swartz Ashbrook 56, a lifelong resident of Media, died August 27, 2015 at her mother's home after a long illness.

She graduated from Penncrest High School in 1978 and was an Office Automation Clerk for the Philadelphia Regional Office of the Social Security Administration for the past 35 years.

Diane was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Media, the United Methodist Women and a former member and officer of the Rose Tree Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

Diane loved the Philadelphia Phillies, animals, doing needlework, reading, and going to the beach but most especially, Diane was devoted to her family, co-workers and friends.
Diane was predeceased by her father, John David Swartz, and her stepfather, David Tracey.

She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Donald D. Ashbrook; her mother, Elaine Swartz Tracey (Edward J. McHale); brothers David W. Swartz (Martha) and Daniel E. Swartz (Meg); her in-laws, John and Marilyn Ashbrook; step siblings, David E. Tracey (Heather), Robert W. Tracey (Liz) and Patricia Ann Frank (Paul) and sisters in law, Lucy Sloan (Peter) and Carol Bapty (Ted). Diane was aunt of Samantha, Emma, Miranda, Lindsey, Justin, Kelsey, Cody, Madeline, Tracey, Kristoffer, Drew, Susannah, Sarah, Zachary, Emily, Laura and Katy; great aunt of Gianna, Cayden and Colton.

Memorial Service 11:00AM Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church of Media, 350 W. State St., Media, PA 19063. Burial private.
