Devin Crawford McCann, 21, lifelong resident of Glenolden died January 24, 2016 in Mississippi. Born in Darby, he was the loving son of Daniel J. and Renee M. Miller McCann.
Devin graduated from Glenolden Elementary School and Cardinal O'Hara High School, class of 2012, where he played baseball and ice hockey.
Devin was a senior sports administration major at Belhaven University in Jackson Mississippi.
He spent 2 years at Cumberland County College as a catcher where he led his team to the Jr. College World Series in Tyler, Tx. After a break out summer in the men's delco league with Narberth. Devin finished second in MVP voting and earned all-star recognition. Devin was the lead returning catcher for the green and gold. Devin had been in contact with pro teams, projecting what was required in his senior year to land him on the draft radars of major league clubs.
Devin spent all his free time at home training at the 220 Second to None Baseball Academy in Vineland, NJ. Devin previously played Glenolden Youth Club football and Baseball in both the Babe Ruth and American Legion Baseball organizations. He was a member of the St. Gabriel R.C. Church.
Survivors: brother of Morgan A. Buckley (William) and Brittany R. McCann; uncle of Cole Gracen and Parker James Buckley; also survived by aunts, uncles, many cousins and friends.
