Despina Pappas

Despina Pappas (nee Papadopoulos), 100 of Bushnell, FL died on June 12, 2026. Born in Krianera, Greece, the daughter of the late Stavros and Sophia Papadopoulos, she had lived in Mullica Hill, NJ and Eddystone before moving to Florida four years ago.

Despina was proud of her Greek heritage and had been an active member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting but most important was her family and time spent with her cherished grand, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren.

She was the wife of the late George Pappas, mother of Nicholas Pappas (late Barbara Rinderer Pappas), Michael Pappas and Sophie Pappas Mamalis (Socratis), grandmother of the late George Pappas and is also survived by five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service 11 AM Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 40 E. Forge Rd., Media where relatives and friends may call after 10 AM. Burial Lawn Croft Cemetery.
