Dennis Begley, 76, passed away at home on January 27th, 2022 surrounded by his loving wife, Jean (Nee Gallagher) Gravely Begley, and family. Born in Chester, he was the son to the late John Michael Begley and Bridget Quinn Begley, and was a second generation Irish-American. He was a 1963 graduate of St. James High School and was employed as a union painter prior to starting his own painting and commercial roofing business in the early nineties. He was a devout catholic and member of St. Rose of Lima Church. He was also a proud member of the Irish-American Club, and St. James Alumni Association.

During retirement years, he enjoyed traveling with his wife; especially to Ireland and Rome. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports, golfing with his Irish Club buddies, bowling, and playing cards with the bulldogs. In addition, Dennis was an American history enthusiast, enjoyed watching old cowboy movies, and hanging out in his man cave working on his vintage train collection.

He is the father of the late Kevin Michael Begley (2014) and is survived by daughters Kelly Begley Ruggieri (Michael), and Laurie Begley. Grandchildren; Daniel Begley, Ava Ruggieri, Nick Ruggieri, Erin and Meghan Begley.

He is also survived by his (5) step-children, Alisha Christy (Dave), Christine Lightcap (Scott), Jennifer Murray, Veronica Gravely (Donny-deceased), Gerald "JB" Gravely; (13) grand-children, and (13) great grandchildren.

Dennis is also survived by his brother, Charles Begley and is predeceased by his siblings Patrick Begley, John Begley, Michael Begley, Manus Begley, Mary Woelkers; James and Thomas Quinn.

Funeral Mass 11 AM Thursday, February 3, 2022 at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone, where relative and friends may call after 9:30 AM. Burial private.
