Dennis A. "Bud" McCann, Jr., 83 of Ridley Township died on September 9, 2024.  Born in Philadelphia, the son of the late Dennis and Alberta Huff McCann, he lived in Glenolden before moving to Ridley Township 59 years ago.

Bud was a graduate of Southwest High Catholic High School for Boys and was employed as a Maintainence Technician at A.I. Dupont for over 30 years before retiring in 2003.  He was a member of Notre Dame de Lourdes R.C. Church where he served as an usher and also volunteered at their carnivals and bazaars.  He was an avid fan of comedy films, Star Wars, The Simpsons, Spongebob, NASCAR and the Eagles and Phillies.

He was the loving husband of the late Helene M. Friel McCann, devoted father of Lisa Williams (Bob) and Michele Harlan, grandfather of John Amendolia, Raymond Amendolia, Jr. (Michelle), Michael Amendolia, Heather Hoffman (Rob) and Juliana Amendolia, great-grandfather of Maralisa Hoffman and Arielle Amendolia, and brother of John McCann, Tom McCann, Ed McCann, Dolly Mayer, Sissy Ritchie and the late Susie Saylor.

Funeral Mass 11 AM Monday, September 16, 2024 at Notre Dame Lourdes R.C. Church, 1000 Fairview Rd., Swarthmore where relatives and friends may call 9:45 to 10:45 AM. Burial private.
