Deborah J. Ricks

Deborah J. “Debi” Ricks, 74, a lifelong resident of Aston, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2026. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Hobert R. and Lena Lucille Lawson Hoops.

Debi was a graduate of Sun Valley High School, Class of 1969. Before her retirement in 2025, she worked at Wawa and had previously worked for State Farm and Seidman Insurance Companies.

She enjoyed traveling, shopping, attending drag races, crafting and painting with acrylics. She had a special love for her exotic bird, Pookie. Above all, Debi treasured the time spent together, the memories made, and watching her family grow. Her love, spirit, and unmistakable personality will be remembered and carried on by all who knew and loved her.

Debi was the loving mother of Kimberly Ley (Jim), Sandra Ricks, and Joyce Ricks. She was the sister of Hobert R. Hoops, Jr.

She was the beloved grandmother of Sean Ricks, Richard Oropeza, III, William O’Neill (Jackie), Deejay Petrillo (Marc), Sydney Marsh (Jaydyn), and Samantha Winfree. She was also the proud great-grandmother of Vivian, Eli, Ayden, Lily, and Vinny.

Visitations will take place from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Road, Aston, PA 19014. Burial will be private.
