David J. Wittendorfer, III 65, died on May 27, 2014 at Fair Acres Geriatric Center.

He was born in Chester and was son of the late David J. and Gertrude Miller Wittendorfer, Jr. and brother of the late Jill M. Wittendorfer.

David was last employed as a Plant operator for Southwest Delaware County Municipal Authority and formerly at his family owned Seven Stars Sunoco Station in Aston.

David was a graduate of Sun Valley High School, class of 1967 and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of American Legion Post 926 in Aston. David was known to enjoy a good story, a laugh and a cold beer…or two.

Survivors: his siblings Bruce R. Wittendorfer (Johanna), Joyce Baer and June Kaufman (John) and three nieces.
