Obituary

David T. Velianoff, 63, of Lansdowne, PA died peacefully on March 16, 2021 at Chester County Hospital, with his loving wife Michele at his side. Born in Akron, OH, he was the son of Menka Velianoff and the late Boris Velianoff.
David was devoted to aviation safety and worked for several airlines throughout the country during his lifetime. For the past 34 years he was employed as an Airframe and Powerplant mechanic for United Parcel Service in Ypsilanti, MI and Ft. Myers, FL.
David and his wife, Michele, had recently retired to Lansdowne and were in the process of renovating an 80-year-old stone home. He was also a motorcycle enthusiast and made cross country trips to see the beauty of the American landscape. David had an easygoing manner and kindness toward others that allowed him to make good friends wherever he went.
He was predeceased by his beloved grandmother (Baba), Antina Velianoff.
David is survived by his wife of 32 years, Michele McAteer Velianoff; his mother, Menka Christopher Velianoff; his brother, George Velianoff (Athena); his sister, Stephanie Marzal (Jim); his in-laws, Carol, Melanie and Shawn McAteer; his nephew, Nick Velianoff (Erin); his nieces, Melanie Lakic (Mile) and Alexandra Guardalabene (Jake); and many great nieces and great nephews.
Due to Covid restrictions, preventing the travel of family and friends, there will be no services at this time. A Memorial Service will be planned in David's hometown of Akron, Ohio, in September.
