David Scott Tatum, 59, of Ridley Park passed away on December 10, 2023 at his home.  Born in Ridley Park, he was the son of the late Ellis Birch and Lillian Elizabeth Collins Tatum.

David grew up in Norwood and was a graduate of Interboro High School, class of 1982, where he played soccer and was a distinguished student.  He was accepted into the prestigious Steamfitters Union Local 420 as an apprentice, where he went on to work for over 30 years before retiring in 2021.  David embraced and lived to the union standards, only purchasing and supporting all products made in the USA.  A true man of principles that is hard to find today.  David loved his dog "Stealth" and was a devoted uncle and loved all of his nieces and nephews, he was always generous on any of their celebrations, birthdays, graduations and weddings.  David was so proud of all of them.

David worked hard and enjoyed to play as well.  From his Corvette, to his Harley, to his Virginia Homestead, to his boat, throw a little legalized gambling in there and David was all good.  He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who loved him.  David lived a great life and was loved and will be remembered by many.

David was the brother of Joseph Tatum (Anne Marie), Nancy Tatum, Susan DeLise (late Dale), Stephen Tatum (Debbie), Jeffrey Tatum (Sue), Julie Dortone and the late Jack Tatum (late Eileen), he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service 10 AM Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Avenue, Ridley Park where relatives and friends may call after 9 AM.  Burial private.
