David E. Solum, 88, of Upper Chichester, died on July 1, 2019 at his home. Born in Marcus Hook, he lived in Maryland before moving to his late residence four years ago.

He was a self-employed Heating and Air Conditioning Service Technician. David was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving on the U.S.S. Tripoli, was a graduate of Ridley Park High School and was an Eagle Scout.

He was father of the late Jeff Solum (Beth); son of the late Hans E. and Mae Williams Solum; also, brother of the late Oliver Solum, Hans Solum and Pauline Petrovitch.

David is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary A. Sakers Solum; his children, Paul D. Solum and Dina Mae Harris (Frank); daughter-in-law, Renee Solum; also, five grandchildren and one great grandson.

Funeral Service and Burial will be private.
