David A. Nielsen 79 of Wilmington, died on October 7, 2022.

Born in Philadelphia to the late Franklin and Genevieve Novak Nielsen, he lived in Springfield before moving to his late residence 12 year ago.
He was an electrical engineer for Vickers-Tedeco, Inc. and after that at worked in sales at Boscov's in Wilmington.

David was a member of St. Kevin R.C. Church, the Helicopter Society and was a graduate of Clifton Heights High School, class of 1961 and Temple University where he majored in Electrical Engineering.

He was a volunteer for the Home and School Association at St. Kevin; he loved photography, golfing, Philadelphia sports, basketball and skiing.
David loved his family and enjoyed attending his grandchildren's activities.

He is survived by his loving companion Stephanie M. Rudolph; his children Christopher D. Nielsen (Kristina) and Courtney M. Moore (Alex); his sister Joyce Ellis-Avery; his grandchildren, Adam and Kara Nielsen, Julia and Benjamin Moore; and his former wife Eileen "Sue" Desmond Nielsen.

Funeral Liturgy 12 Noon Saturday, October 15, 2022 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where relatives and friends may call after 11:00AM. Burial private.
