David F. Heywood, 74 of Woodlyn, PA died December 25, 2010 at Taylor Hospice Residence.
Born in Upland, was reared in Chester, and lived in Brookhaven before moving to Woodlyn fifty years ago.
Son of the late Joseph D. and Dorothy J. Walker Heywood, he was graduate of Media High School, Class of 1955.
Mr. Heywood was employed at General Chemical in Marcus Hook for 32 years, retiring in 1992. He served in the Pennsylvania National Guard, 28th Infantry Division.
He loved NASCAR, the Phillies, traveling, trips to Atlantic City casinos, but most important was his family and especially his grandchildren.
Survivors; Patricia J. Hinkle Heywood, his wife of fifty years, children; Deborah Bollinger (Kenneth) of Ridley Township and Scott Heywood (Kelly) of Woodlyn, grandchildren; Jessica, Ryan, Paige and Brian.
Services; 10:00AM Friday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where friends may call after 9:00AM. Burial Eastlawn Cemetery.
