Obituary

Cora Beth Neely (nee Glenn), 85 of Royersford died on September 24, 2024 at her home, surrounded by her family.  Born in Ridley Park, the daughter of the late Lowry S. Glenn and Bernice Williams Glenn Kane, she lived in Ridley Park before moving to Royersford ten years ago.

Beth was a graduate of Ridley Park High School, class of 1957 and then went on to attend Penn State University and Drexel University to earn an associates degree.  Before her retirement, she was employed as a teacher at the Art of Growing Nursery School for ten years.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ridley Park where she also volunteered as a Sunday School Teacher, was a member of the Harmony Class and participated in other church activities.  Beth was also involved in the Prospect Park Youth Club and was a Girl Scout Brownie Cookie Mom.  She always enjoyed trips to Ocean City, NJ and her hobbies included crafting, decorating her home and was an accomplished artist. Beth's most cherished things in life were being the most loving, caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother (aka "Mimi"). Being around and making memories with her family made her the happiest.

She was the loving wife of 63 years to George R. Neely, mother of Laura M. McGrath (Bill), Christopher R. Neely (Tracey), Bryan W. Neely (Stephanie) and the late Wendy Lynn Neely, sister of Robin E. O'Toole (Kevin), John Glenn (Jana) and the late Edwin Glenn, grandmother of Tyler, Sarah and Adam McGrath, Andrew and Addison Neely, Charlotte, Benjamin and Jackson Neely and great-grandmother of Aiden McGrath. She also leaves behind her beloved puppy, Bailee.
