Congetta "Connie" Barbato Modesti, 95, formerly of Woodlyn died February 21, 2018 at Wilmington Hospital. Born in Chester, she was the daughter of the late Alfonso and Maria Matacena Barbato.

Connie was a graduate of Ridley Twp. High School, class of 1940 and worked in the family business. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church and was the former treasurer of OLP Peacemakers. Connie was a seamstress who worked for Supply Depot making uniforms during WWII. She was the owner of the Swingin Square Shop in Folsom, where she designed and sewed clothes. Connie was a former member of the Ridley Twp. Business and Professional Association. She enjoyed spending time with family and her weekly poker game with friends.

Connie was predeceased by her husband, Primo J. Modesti, who died in 1982; her daughter, Mary Modesti; and her son, Paul J. Modesti, Esq.

She is the mother of Dora Heffelfinger (Don), Barbara Harbin and Rita Modesti; mother-in-law of Gwendolen Forsyth Modesti; grandmother of Peter, Thomas, John and James Modesti; and great grandmother of Primo Jake and Mia Modesti.

Visitation: 9:45-10:45 AM Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church, 200 Milmont Ave., Milmont Park, PA 19033.

Funeral Mass: 11:00 AM Wednesday at the church.

Burial: Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA
