Clare M. Istak
Devoted wife and mother
Clare M. Istak, died March 13, 2013 at Brandywine Hospital. She was a longtime Folsom resident and the loving wife of Joseph C. Istak. Clare worked for the Ridley School District for ten years at the high school as a cashier.
Born in Philadelphia, Clare graduated from Collingdale High School, Class of 1935, and volunteered with the USO during WWII. Clare was a member of Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church and the OLP Seniors. She enjoyed reading the Bible and saying a daily rosary and vacationing in Wildwood, NJ. Most important was her devotion to her husband, children and grandchildren.
Clare was the daughter of the late Daniel and Mary Cullins McLaughlin, mother of the late Clare Cornick (late George) and Joseph Sweeney and sister of the late Helen Nelms.
Survivors; her children, Charles J. Istak (Beth), Patricia Lalli (Late Al) and Lisa McGoldrick (Rick); ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Carole Sweeney and niece Patricia Nelms.
Funeral Mass: 11AM Tuesday at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church, 208 Milmont Ave., Milmont Park where friends may call after 10:30 AM
Burial: SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery
