Civita M. Gaul Frese, 92, of Ridley Park died November 3, 2019 at Fair Acres Geriatric Center. Born in Chester, she was the daughter of the late Oliver Frank and Civita Vigilante Gaul, and resided in Darby before moving to her late residence in 1950.
Civita was a graduate of Darby High School, class of 1945 and began her banking career with Delaware County National Bank. As an Assistant Manager at the Brookhaven Office, she retired in 1983 after 18 years. Civita was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, where she taught Sunday School, was a Choir Mother and a member of the Altar Guild. She was also a member of the Ridley Park Seniors and enjoyed traveling, crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles, but most important was her devotion to her family. Civita had a good sense of humor and warm and caring personality. She had a magnetism that made everyone feel welcome.
Civita was predeceased by her loving husband, Winston E. Frese, who died August 11, 2014; and her brother, Oliver Frank Gaul.
She was the devoted mother of Keith T. Frese, Suzanne E. Higgins (Richard) and Raymond D. Frese (Elaine); also survived by nine cherished grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Burial Rite and Eucharist: 10:00 AM Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Christ Church, Nevin Street and Sellers Ave., Ridley Park, PA 19078.
Visitation: 7-9 PM Wed., Nov. 6, 2019 and 8:30-9:15 AM Thursday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, ltd., 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park, PA.
