Christopher Michael "Chris" Sweeney, 37, a lifelong resident of Woodlyn, died suddenly on September 7, 2015 at his parents' home. Born in Media, he played Little League Baseball for Blackrock and Briarcliff. Chris was a graduate of Cardinal O'Hara High School, class of 1997, where he played lacrosse. He also graduated from Neumann University in 2003 with a BA in Liberal Studies.


Chris was employed as a Financial Manager with Universal Health Services and was a member of Notre Dame de Lourdes R.C. Church. He played UHS Softball, Fantasy Football and was a Philadelphia sports fan. Chris loved music, playing the guitar, singing and dancing and especially enjoyed vacationing with his family at the shore.


Chris was the husband of Kristen M. Revak Sweeney, his wife of 11 years; father of Allyson Sweeney and Taylor Sweeney; son of Patrick L. and Deborah A. Martin Sweeney; brother of Matthew P. Sweeney (Dena) and Adam R. Sweeney (Melinda); uncle of Gabriella, Sofia, Natalie, Naomi, Emma and Alexei; son-in-law of Stephen J. and Leslie Fleagle Revak; and grandson-in-law of George and Mary Fleagle and Anna Revak.


Visitation: 6:00-9:00 PM Sunday and 9:30-10:30 AM Monday at Notre Dame de Lourdes R.C. Church, 990 Fairview Road, Swarthmore, PA 19081

Funeral Mass: 11:00 AM Monday, September 14, 2015 at Notre Dame de Lourdes R.C. Church.
