Cheryl Davis McDaniel, 70, passed away on Monday, July 15th after a long, well-fought battle with cancer.

Cheryl will be remembered for her loving and caring personality, quick wit, and sense of adventure. She loved life and spending time at home in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and Florida. Since retiring from State Farm Insurance Company in 2004, Cheryl has spent her time traveling, playing golf, visiting with family and friends and solving the daily crossword puzzle. Most of all, Cheryl loved to be with her life partner, golf partner, and partner in crime, Bob Forwood. Together they were the life of the party bringing contagious energy and laughs to every gathering. Cheryl's family is deeply indebted to Bob for his committed care, support, and love of their beloved daughter, sister, and aunt.

Along with Bob, Cheryl was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by her mother, Dorothy Davis; her sister Donna Conner and husband, Tom; her brother, Glenn Davis and wife, Mary Beth and many, many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Cheryl was predeceased by her husband of 33 years, Donnell McDaniel, whom she faithfully cared for until his death in December of 2002 and her father, Wilfred "Utt" Davis, who passed away in October of 2016.

Services for Cheryl will be held this Saturday, July 20, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Elam United Methodist Church, 1073 Smithbridge Road in Glen Mills. Visitation will be held before the service from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Siloam Cemetery, 3720 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley.

The family will extend an invitation to share your favorite memory of Cheryl as part of her service. If you are unable to attend and would like to share, feel free to message Cheryl's sister, Donna and your memory will be shared during the service.
