Charlotte Michael Heimbacher passed away on April 16, 2026, at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Born in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, she spent her early years in Minersville before moving to Ridley Park in 1953. Charlotte attended Tome Street Elementary School and graduated from Ridley Park High School in 1962.
She had a passion for ice skating, bowling, crocheting, sewing, and reading. Throughout her career, Charlotte worked at Sun Ray Drug Company, First Pennsylvania Bank, and dedicated 34 years of service at Ridley Park Borough Hall.
Charlotte was deeply involved in her community, contributing to the Historic Commission, including its Centennial celebration in 1987, participating in Town Watch, serving as Committee Woman, and acting as Census Director for several years. She authored the book "The Other History of Ridley Park," which is preserved in the Ridley Park Library. Her commitment to preserving the history of Ridley Park was evident in her careful collection of articles, which she cherished as the future history of the town. She was also a member of Ridley Park United Methodist Church.
Known for her devotion, Charlotte was the sole caretaker of her mother, the late Alice M. Michael. She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Ann Heimbacher, who resides in Colorado, her lifelong friend Angel Colligan and many other good friends Charlotte made throughout her life.
Charlotte was laid to rest at Mount Peace Cemetery in Minersville, Pennsylvania. The burial was held privately.
