Charles C. Moribondo, 93 of West Chester, died October 23, 2013, at Park Lane at Bellingham. Born in Italy, he previously lived in Philadelphia, Ridley Park and Cherry Hill, NJ, before moving to his late residence three years ago. Charles was the son of the late Gaetano and Alfonsina Francesca Cologrosso Moribondo.

Charles was a mail carrier for the U.S. Post Office for 36 years, retiring in 1984 and had previously worked for the Philadelphia Naval Yard. He was a former member of the Church of St. Madeline and served in the U.S. Navy. He received the American Theatre Ribbon and the Victory Ribbon while serving during World War II.



Charles was predeceased by his wife, Marie Salvati Moribondo, who died in May 2001 and his sister, Frances Goldfeld.

Survivors: his children, Carol M. Spinelli (Joseph) and Thomas P. Moribondo (Cynthia); his sisters, Grace Autouri and Angelina D'Achillo; also survived by his four grandchildren, Erik-Adam Spinelli, Brendan Spinelli, Jude Moribondo and Christen Moribondo.

Funeral Service: 11:30AM Saturday, October 26, 2013, at SS. Simon and Jude R.C. Church, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester where friends may call after 11:00AM.

Entombment: SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
