Charles K. Long 82 of Folsom, died August 11, 2012 at Springfield Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Shamokin, he lived in Folsom for 30 years and Millersville for eight years before moving back to Folsom 12 years ago.
He was employed by Bell of PA for 37 years, and prior to that worked at John Herr Village Market and also as a Court Officer for the County of Delaware.
Mr. Long was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during the Korean War. He was a member of Solomon's Lodge 0003, F.& A.M. of Pennsylvania and was an avid reader who enjoyed traveling and the Jersey Shore, but most important to him was his family.
He was husband of the late Virginia H. Leiser Long, his wife of 54 years, who died January 18, 2008 and son of the late Charles and Lillian R. Taby Long.
Survivors: his children David C. Long (Aundrea), Laurie Marshall (Paul), Elizabeth Pasternak (Mike), Daniel K. Long, Mark C. Long and Lisa J. Pisani (Ed); his sisters Eleanor Dent and Joan Campbell; also 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral service 8:30PM Thursday, August 16, 2012 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where friends may call from 7:00 to 8:15PM .
Graveside service 12:00Noon Friday at Northumberland Memorial Park, Sunbury.
