Charles F. Johnston, 63 of Aston died April 30, 2014 at his home. Born in Darby, son of the late Paul J. and Patricia A. Murray Johnston, he lived in Colorado and Brookhaven prior to moving to his late residence three years ago. He was employed as a bricklayer for 47 years.

Charles loved the mountains and scenery in Colorado, fishing and being a member of the NHRA, but most importantly he was a devoted family man.

He was father of the late Gail Stephanie Johnston who died July 11, 2012 and brother of the late Paul, Jr., Joseph and Florence.

Survivors: his wife of 19 years Joanne M. Achuff Johnston, sons Charles F. "Chaya" Johnston, Jr. (Tiffany) and James E. "Bump" Johnston (Jen), stepson Nicholas Hoffman, grandchildren Seth, Jordan, Tyler, Maddox and Christina, siblings Kathleen, Mary Pat, James, Anne Marie, Maureen, Michael, and Eileen, also many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass: 10:30 AM Friday at Notre Dame de Lourdes R.C. Church, Fairview Rd and Michigan Ave., Swarthmore where friends may call 9:15 to 10:15 AM.

Burial private.
