Charles R. "Chick" Roach, 71, of Swarthmore, died January 20, 2015 at Fair Acres Geriatric Center. Born in Drexel Hill, he was the son of the late Elwood and Mattie Baile Roach and resided in Ridley Township for 50 years.


Chick was a graduate of Ridley High School, Class of 1962 and was employed by Acme Markets for 48 years. He was an avid CB'er and loved camping and his grandchildren.


Chick was predeceased by his grandson, Charles R. "Chip" Roach, III and his brothers, E. William Roach, Jr. and Kenneth J. James.


Survivors: father of Charles R. "Chuck" Roach, Jr. and Lisa Rohrbach; stepfather of Kim, David and Kellye; brother of Robert Roach; uncle of Donna Czechowicz and Jennifer Roach; and grandfather of Lauren, Lindsay and Leah Rohrbach and Amanda Roach.


A Celebration of Chick's Life will be held at 2 PM Sunday, January 25, 2015 at the Prospectors Bar & Grill, 400 Lincoln Ave., Prospect Park, PA.
