Charles E. Butz, Jr 93 of Ridley Park, died August 25, 2017 at Crozer Keystone Hospice at Taylor.
Born in Twin Oaks, Pa he lived in Chester before moving to his late residence 62 years ago.
Charles was a PBX Installer for the former Bell Telephone Company. He was a decorated WWII veteran serving in the US Navy on the USS Tekesta (ATF93) as a Motor Machinist mate, 2nd Class and a diver.
He was a member of The Church of St. Madeline, a Life Member of the Pioneer Club, also the Delaware County Field and Stream Association.
Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing, his Harley and helping others, but most important to him was spending time with his family.
He was husband of the late Lena H. Perugini Butz, his wife of 65 years, who died in 2016, son of the late Charles E. and Ethel Norris Butz and brother of the late Ethel Safian and Donald Butz.
He is survived by his children, Charles E. "Chuck" Butz, III and Barbara Embert; his sister Norma Butz; grandchildren Charles IV (Michele) Stephanie (Greg), Matthew and Missy; great grandchildren Cameron and Mia; his former daughter in law Tina Linkens; also his grand dog Milo.
Funeral Service 11:00AM Thursday, August 31, 2017 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where friends may call after 10:00AM.
Burial Glenwood Memorial Gardens.
