Obituary

Catherine (Delaney) Kindregan, 101, Ridley Park resident.
Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away on October 25, 2010 surrounded by family, Loved by all, this amazing woman lived for the past two years with her granddaughter Therese DiGiacobbe and family.

First in her class, Catherine was an honors graduate from St. Elizabeth's Commercial Class of 1924. After raising a family, her expertise in shorthand earned her a top position as Executive Secretary at Provident Mutual Life Insurance Company. She appreciated her Irish heritage and her Catholic faith. She joined her parish sodality at 14 and had great devotion to the Blessed Mother and the rosary. As the family matriarch, Catherine was ever-present at all family occasions, delighting in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved St.Madeline's Parish, the New Life Club and the Ridley Park Seniors, of which she was an original member. She also enjoyed traveling, bowling, dancing and was an avid reader.

She was predeceased by her husband Charles P. Kindregan, daughter Catherine Kindregan Aloi, son Joseph Kindregan and two brothers Timothy and Thomas Delaney.

She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Walsh of Ridley Park, son Charles Kindregan, Jr. of Boston, daughter-in-law Kathleen Kindregan of Swarthmore, twenty grandchildren and thirty-two great-grandchildren.

Funeral Mass 10:30AM Saturday, October 30, 2010 at the Church of St. Madeline, Penn St. and Morton Ave., Ridley Park where friends may call from 9:00 to 10:15AM.
Burial private. In lieu of flowers, remembrance masses and mass cards would be appreciated.
