Catherine "Kay" R. Fallon Choate 82 of Swarthmore, died on January 20, 2014.
Born in Philadelphia, Kay moved to Swarthmore 41 years ago.
Kay was a secretary for the Kidney Center of Delaware County, retiring in 1995 and previously worked for General Electric and Eastern Narragansett Oil Company.
She was a graduate of Eddystone High School, class of 1949 and was a member of Notre Dame de Lourdes R.C. Church and the Our Lady Senior Travel Club.
Kay enjoyed cruising and had completed 11 cruises with her late husband, also reading and movies, but most important to her was her family.
Kay was wife of the late James A. Choate, her husband of 53 years, who died in 2006 and daughter of the late Hugh and Elizabeth McLaughlin Fallon.
Survivors: her children James M. Choate (Debra) and Janice M. Scull (Michael); her sister Elizabeth DeMarcantonio; five grandchildren; nieces, nephew and many friends.
Funeral Mass 10:30AM Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Notre Dame de Lourdes R.C. Church, Michigan Ave. and Fairview Rd., Swarthmore.
Visitation 8AM to 9:45AM at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park. Burial Holy Cross Cemetery.
