Carol Ann McCloskey, 59 of Brookhaven, died August 25, 2012 at Crozer-Keystone Hospice at Taylor Hospital. Born in Chester, Carol was a lifelong resident of Delaware County.

She was employed by the County of Delaware at Fair Acres for 37 years, retiring in 2010.

Carol volunteered with the Cerebral Palsy Association and served as a Committeewoman in Brookhaven and worked the polls during elections.

Carol loved the Phillies and the Eagles, also enjoyed doing needlepoint and word search puzzles, but most important to her was her passion for her family. Carol also enjoyed her online social media, and reading her Daily Times while drinking her WaWa coffee.

Carol was daughter of the late Jeremiah E. and Anna Jean Marencin McCloskey and sister of the late Geralyn Zeola and Mary C. McCloskey.

Survivors: Her siblings James McCloskey (Carol), Jeanne Murray (Rick) and John McCloskey (Kimberly); also her special aunt Dolores Carlone; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.

Funeral Service 11:00AM Thursday, August 30, 2012 at the Presbyterian Church of The Covenant, 503 Duncan Road, Wilmington, DE 19809 where friends may call after 10:00AM.

Burial 11:00AM Friday in Lawn Croft Cemetery.
