Carol A. Beard Knight, 71, a lifelong resident of Woodlyn, died January 1, 2019.

Carol was a graduate of Ridley Township High School, class of 1965. She was a longtime former employee of the Delaware County Intermediate Unit in Morton, and Sears Service Center. Carol was a lifetime member of the Woodlyn Fire Company and she enjoyed crafting and flea marketing, but most importantly her family.

She was wife of the late Ronald W. Knight who died on November 25, 2006 after 42 years of marriage, daughter of the late Harold "Crow" and Dorothy Bacon Beard and sister of the late Ellen Poltrock.

She was mother to Paula Coons (late Kurt) and Amy Hodgson (Eric), sister to Harold "Corky" Beard, Jr., Debbie White and Evie Rice, grandmother to Ron Rowat and Kiersten Coons, and great-grandmother to Aubreigh Weber, also survived by her beloved friend Tom Rickards.

Funeral Service 1 PM Monday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave, Ridley Park, PA, where relatives and friends may call after 12 noon. Burial Eastlawn Cemetery.
