Carmela G. Lesky (nee Papale), 86, of Newtown Square, died on August 9, 2024 at her home with her loving family.  Born in Folcroft, the daughter of the late Frank and Angelina Oliva Papale, she lived in Collingdale before moving to Newtown Square in 1980.

Carmela attended Notre Dame de Lourdes High School and was a member of St. Anastasia R.C. Church.  Carmela worked for the MARS Electronics Company in West Chester for 34 years and managed their company store before her retirement.  She was a wonderful baker and enjoyed going to Rehoboth Beach, but most important was her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was the loving wife of 51 years to Joseph A. Lesky, devoted mother of Harvey A. Scott (Susan), sister of Anna "Ann" Petriccione, Mary Lou Byron,  Frank Papale, the late Anthony Papale, and the late Agostino "Sonny" Papale, cherished grandmother of Anthony Scott and Lisa Marie Scott Rossi (Thom III) and great-grandmother of Kara, Thomas IV and Maria.

For those closest to her, M&Ms will never be just a candy.

Visitation 9:00 to 10:15 AM Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Avenue Ridley Park  19078 followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church, 208 Milmont Avenue, Milmont Park, PA 19033 beginning at 11 AM.  Burial SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
