Obituary

Billy R. Peters 76 of Woodlyn, died on July 22, 2020 at his home surrounded by family.
Born in Boone County, West Virginia, he lived in Louisiana before moving to his late residence in 2007.
He was last employed as a Truck Driver for the U.S. Postal Service for seven years, retiring in 2000; previously working in the West Virginia Coal Mines and as an Over the Road Truck Driver.
Billy was a member of New Destiny Christian Center in Springfield.
Known as the "candy man" he loved to share the Love of Jesus and never met a stranger.
Billy was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and was an avid fan of the West Virginia University Mountaineers, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Denver Broncos.
He was the son of the late Seth R. and Wanda Brounella Lay Peters and grandfather of the late Mario Peters.
Billy was the loving husband of Brenda A. Bias Peters, his wife of 50 years and the devoted father to Robert Peters, Teresa Verdecchio (David), Tammy Boudreau (Jason), Billie Verdecchio (Joseph) and Melissa Price-Lester (Michael) and brother of Sandra Knight (Ronnie) and cherished Papaw to 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; also, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service 11:00AM Monday, July 27, 2020 at the New Destiny Christian Center, 542 Wesley Road, Springfield, PA 19064 where friends may call from 9:30 to 10:45AM.
Burial Eastlawn Cemetery.
