Obituary

Bill Rhodes, 84, of Aston died on November 10, 2022. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Walter and Mary Rhodes, of Green Ridge (Aston). He was a drummer in Aston's 1st marching band and a member of Boy-scout Troop #1. Bill was a 1956 graduate of Eddystone High School and was a proud veteran of the US Army. As an adult, Bill was blessed to marry the love of his life, the late Nancy Rhodes and lived in Folcroft before moving back to Aston in 1977.

Bill was a highly successful sales manager for 40+ years where he was able to travel the world. He loved spending time with family and friends, was a gracious host, cook and bartender always attentive to his guest's good times. After his retirement, Bill and Nance continued to travel on their quest for the best beach bar. But, he found his pure joy in his grandchildren! You could find his red truck driving all over Delco taking his grandsons to their sports games and watching from afar with his binoculars!

A devoted, loving family man, and cherished grandfather, Bill leaves behind his daughters Chrissi Villa (Luigi) and Vicki Poponi (Marc Kaiser), grandchildren Luca Villa, Giuliano Villa, Michael Poponi and Miya Kaiser. Brother of the late Betty Lawson and Catherine King, he is also survived by many nieces and his beloved family in Puerto Rico.

A date for a "Celebration of Bill's Life' where we can all raise a glass (or 2) will be announced in the next few weeks.
