Obituary

Betty Husted Luce, 81, of Ridley Park, died May 14, 2012 at Crozer-Keystone Hospice at Taylor. Born in Brookline, PA, Mrs. Luce lived in Eddystone prior to moving to her late residence in 1961.

She was a graduate of Eddystone High School, Class of 1948 and was a member of Eddystone United Methodist Church. Betty was employed as a Title Clerk at Luke Motors and had previously been employed as a bookkeeper at Blair's Florist. Betty was also a member of Knit Wits and the Canasta Club and loved cruising, she had made 49 trips. Betty was devoted to her family especially her grandchildren.

She was daughter of the late William Husted and Mary Copper Allanson and sister of the late Gladys Catesi.

Survivors: her husband of 55 years, Melvin E. Luce; daughters Melanie Hodge and Cynthia Guilfoil (Andrew), also survived by five grandchildren.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM Saturday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park

Visitation: after 9 AM Saturday at the funeral home.

Burial: Chester Rural Cemetery
