Obituary

Betty (Cantler) Miles-Kilby, 87 went to be with our lord on Monday September 3, 2012. She went peacefully following a brief illness with her family by her side.


Betty was born in York, Pennsylvania on August 25, 1925 and was the oldest of three children to George and Agnes (Norvell) Cantler. She worked at Westinghouse Steam Turbine Division and retired from Crozer Chester Medical Center in 1980 after 25 years of service. She later volunteered at Crozer's Cancer Center. She enjoyed gospel music, shopping, church, watching her programs on TV and spending time with her family. She was a loving and caring person who was a devoted wife, mother and friend.


She was preceded in death by her parents, three loving husbands, Harold "Dutch" Schraishuhn, William Miles and Harry Kilby, and her sister Barbara J. (Cantler) Cooke.


Survivors: To cherish her memory she leaves her sons Charles Schraishuhn and his wife Sarah Worthington Schraishuhn, Harold O. Schraishuhn, Jr. and his wife Lorraine R. Hill Schraishuhn and a daughter Bette J. Stant and her husband Robert F. Stant, 8 grandchildren Amanda (Welch) Alsford, Kimberly (Schraishuhn) Rainer, Jennifer (Stant) Clarke, January (Stant) Krassnosky, Jason Schraishuhn, Michael Welch, Hayden Schraishuhn and Robert F. Stant III, 12 great grandchildren, her brother Donald Cantler, numerous nephews and nieces.


Funeral Service: 11 AM Friday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Road, Aston.


Visitation: 9:30 to 10:45 AM Friday at the funeral home


Burial: Mount Hope Cemetery.
