Betty Lee Collison Conte, 91, formerly of Boothwyn, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 27, 2015 at Heartwood Lodge in Spring Lake, Michigan. Betty was born October 8, 1923 to Norman and Minnie (Christopher) Collison in Centreville, MD.


After graduating high school in Centreville, she moved to Chester, Pa. and worked for the War Department serving at the Army Depot before marrying Vincent S. Conte of Marcus Hook on August 21, 1943. He preceded her in death on August 25, 1975. They were members of Holy Savior and then St. John Fisher Parishes. Betty worked as a waitress for many years as well as a homemaker prior to moving to Michigan to be closer to family. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, playing bingo, playing cards, and dancing. Betty was known by her friends and family as a wonderful cook.



Betty was preceded in death by her 2 sons, Vincent R. and Steven M. Conte, 2 brothers Clayton and Charles, and her sister, Golda.



She is survived by her loving daughter, Kathleen (David) Karpin of Michigan; grandchildren, Nichol (Jim) Stack and David G. Karpin II, her beloved niece, MaryLou Ranson (Cooney), as well as several other nieces, nephews and relatives.



Graveside funeral service: 9:30 am, Monday, May 4, 2015 at Immaculate Heart Cemetery, Township Line Rd. and Market St., Linwood, PA



Visitation: 2-4 pm, Sunday, May 3, 2015 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Rd.,Aston, PA.



In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Betty's name be made to Heartwood Lodge Hospice House, 18525 Woodland Ridge Drive, Spring Lake, Michigan 49456.
